Daily Drawings Posted

My apologies for the delay in NEW MATERIAL!  (How is it already half-way through June??)  Here’s what you should check out:

  • ART: Daily Drawings – 56 drawings from my 2 months in Puerto Rico
  • MUSIC: “play-buttons” next to my audio links (so you don’t have to go to a different page to listen to the song that is playing!)

That’s just something to keep you entertained while I work on posting even more material – a couple of new songs are in the works, old songs need to be recorded, and sharpie work is still happening big-time.  🙂  I won’t let three months go by before my next post, I promise!

So what’s been keeping me busy?  I’ve been readjusting to life in Lansing, MI.  Moved into a new apartment with my brother, finally got a car here (my first one!), and I just started volunteering in two summer programs with REACH – a “nonprofit neighborhood space for arts education and civic engagement.”  Definitely check out their website!  Lots of great things happening.

Life remains full of adventure!  Can’t wait to share more of it with you.

New work from Puerto Rico

As my time in Puerto Rico winds down I am beginning to examine the work that I’ve created here.  I am beyond thankful for this experience, and I’m sure that this work will only open the door to more projects and ideas in the future.

Until then you can browse through some of my NEW MATERIAL created in PR:

  • ART: updated Photography Gallery, a series of photos: Textures in El Morro, which inspired 48 Hours – a series of sharpie drawings
  • MUSIC: lyrics to two new songs: Shotgun and Summer Abroad, a draft/preview recording of Summer Abroad!

More work soon!

Greetings from Puerto Rico!

Time for an update:

I have been living in Isabela, Puerto Rico for the past month with long-time friend and fellow artist Melissa Misla.  (<<click on her name for a link to her website)  For the first time since graduation I have been able to dedicate significant time and energy to my creative work.  I am so thankful to have this opportunity and am attempting to make the most of every minute here. That means spending most of my time drawing, writing, and recording in the “studio” and traveling around the island for inspiration (the sunny, warm weather is inspiration in and of itself!).   But I am also thrilled to share some of my work with you as it’s happening.

So here is some NEW MATERIAL to look for:

  • ART: photos of Puerto Rico in my Photography Gallery
  • MUSIC: updated lyrics section, more audio recordings
**including a NEW song: All I Know**

Enjoy!  And stay tuned for more – I still have 5 weeks left in PR.  : )

New Material Posted!

Hello, everyone!

I’m excited to finally have some more work up for you!

NEW MATERIAL posted this week:

  • ART: photos of old work added to my archives, a new photography gallery, a link to video footage of my Lost/Found exhibition, photos from past exhibitions
  • MUSIC: more lyrics to songs, photos from past gigs

Also new this week: I got a favicon!  Google it if you don’t know what it is.  It really made my day when I successfully added one.

I’ll be adding more photos soon, including a gallery of the coloring pages from my Lost/Found installation.

Thanks for stopping by!
